An update has emerged on the relationship between Zack Ryder and WWE following his recent SmackDown appearance and a merch launch.
Ryder returned on the November 14 episode of SmackDown in the ‘Last Time Is Now‘ tournament to determine John Cena’s final opponent.
While he may not have been victorious in his return match, WWE Shop would release new merchandise bearing his name, leading some to believe his return would be permanent.
Matt Cardona has now addressed his status in WWE during a recent episode of the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast, revealing that he has signed a temporary deal for merchandise, saying:
“I did sign something to let them do merch temporarily.
“Could there be a Mattel figure? Could there be a Topps card?
“It’s really up to them, I’ve given them the rights temporarily.”
