Triple H wants to bring big WWE events to other countries in the world and recently spoke on one such location to the joy of a WWE star.
During the press conference that took place after WWE Survivor Series WarGames, Triple H was asked about his global ambitions for WWE, saying:
“We want to do what we do in front of fans that are ready for it all over the globe.
“Big stadiums, big arenas, it’s what we do better than anybody else on the planet, so if you’ve got a city that’s out there that wants WWE to come, if you’ve got a country out there that wants [us] to come, if you’ve got a continent out there you want us to come to.
“Yeah, call us.”
It was the final sentence of his statement that would garner an emotional reaction, with the WWE’s Chief Content officer stating:
“Stay tuned for Puerto Rico.”
Replying on Twitter to the reporter’s video of the question and answer, Zelina Vega said:
“For Puerto Rico ….y’all have no idea…. What that would mean..”
Aside from WWE Crown Jewel, WWE has rarely ventured outside of America for its big events and hasn’t taken one to Canada since 2019 with SummerSlam in Toronto, Ontario.
With recent reports of a big WWE event potentially taking place in India in early 2023 and the success of WWE Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales, there can be little doubt that Triple H’s plan for global “big stadium” shows can bear fruit.
