Zelina Vega First WWE Women’s US Title Defense Revealed?

WWE Women’s US Champion Zelina Vega has called out a familiar star for her first title defense, following her recent championship win.

Vega became the Women’s US Champion on the April 25 SmackDown episode, defeating inaugural titleholder Chelsea Green for the gold.

Zelina Vega revealed who she wants to defend the title against first in an interview on Screen Rant Plus.

When asked about her podcast with Dakota Kai, Vega noted that she wants Kai to get the first shot at her title.

Vega said:

“Dakota, honestly I would love to give her the first shot, I’m just saying that, Dakota Kai gets first shot. I would love that.”

Kai hasn’t wrestled since the March 24 WWE Main Event taping (aired March 27), defeating Ivy Nile in singles action.

Her most recent Raw match saw her defeat Nile on the March 17 episode.

Addressing her absence, Kai recently confirmed that she is not currently injured, noting that she misses wrestling.
