Zoey Stark has commented for the first time since she suffered a mid-match injury during WWE Raw earlier this week.
Stark was part of a three-way WWE Money in the Bank qualifier along with Kairi Sane and Rhea Ripley.
Early in the match, Stark attempted a springboard missile dropkick to Sane, but landed awkwardly in the ring, and it was immediately clear she’d suffered some kind of leg injury.
Stark was instantly removed from the match as Sane and Ripley continued one-on-one, with Ripley eventually scoring the win.
Ripley winning was the original plan, but she had to pin Sane, while the original plan had been for her to pin Stark.
Stark has now commented for the first time since the incident, thanking everyone for their well-wishes. She tweeted:
Wow the love and support means more to me than you’ll ever know! What hurts more than my knee is knowing I wont be able to perform for all of you for a while. I LOVE what I do and I’m blessed to do this.
As the saying goes, the comeback is greater than the setback. Love you guys #StarkMarks
It’s unknown how long Stark is expected to be out of action at this point, but it was noted that she’s already had previous surgery on the same leg.
We continue to wish Stark all the best for her recovery.
