In the opening segment of NXT 2.0, Zoey Stark addressed her return to NXT 2.0 after injury and was interrupted by not once but twice!
After making her shocking return on NXT 2.0 last week to not only enter, but win a big 20 woman battle royal to determine the number one contender for Mandy Rose’s NXT Women’s Championship, Zoey Stark kicked off tonight’s (July 26) NXT 2.0.
After being interrupted by both Cora Jade and Mandy Rose with Toxic Attraction, Stark’s promo was still able to communicate her long road to recovery.
During her promo, Mandy Rose reiterated that she continued to pass milestones to become now the fourth longest reigning women’s champion in NXT Women’s Championship history.
Shortly thereafter, a match for tonight was announced – Zoey Stark would be taking on one of Mandy Rose’s Toxic Attraction stablemates, Gigi Dolin.
Elsewhere on the card, a huge 8 man battle pitting the D’Angelo Family (billed as Tony D’Angelo, “Stacks,” Cruz Del Toro, and Joaquin Wilde) vs. Diamond Mine (Damon Kemp, Roderick Strong, Creed Brothers) in what is sure to be a fun one.
