WWE Confusion Surrounding Status Of Championship

WWE Confusion Surrounding Status Of Championship WWE

There is continued confusion surrounding a WWE Championship as the 2023 WWE Draft sees titles and stars switching brands.

On tonight’s edition of NXT there was a big Championship match with possible main roster implications as the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles were on the line.

Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre took on Kayden Carter and Katana Chance to determine who would move up to the main roster as the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions.

While Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre retained the NXT Tag Team Championships, they were reported to be “taking the NXT Women’s Tag Titles to SmackDown” which leaves some lack of clarity.

Will the titles convert to SmackDown Women’s Tag Team Titles since Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez are currently the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions and were drafted to Raw?

We’ll have to stay tuned to find out!

However, clarifying the future of another NXT Championship, an in-ring segment settled up one title’s future.

To close NXT tonight, NXT Women’s Champion Indi Hartwell addressed the fans as she encouraged us not to cry because it was over, but smile because it happened.

After announcing that she would be vacating the NXT Women’s Championship due to injury, Hartwell announced that a new champion would be set to be crowned via a tournament kicking off next week on NXT (May 9) that would culminate at the upcoming NXT pay-per-view.

NXT Battleground will see a new NXT Women’s Champion crowned as Indi Hartwell then joined Dexter Lumis for a ride away from ringside (in his arms of course) on the way to Monday Night Raw.

InDex fans may be interested to hear about a rumored main roster reunion in the works for WWE Raw. You can read more about that by clicking here.
