Brock Lesnar Not Leaving WWE?
Unless, he isn’t.
Ever since Brock re-entered UFC’s drug testing program, it’s been widely expected he’ll lose his Universal Championship to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam, leave WWE and then have one last run in MMA, because money.
Problem is, though, that’s exactly what we all said before WrestleMania 34 – with Brock’s contract reportedly expiring on the day of the show, where he’d lose his Universal Championship to Roman Reigns, leave WWE, and then have one last run in MMA – which he’d teased the previous month by posting a photo with UFC President Dana White.
But five months later, Brock’s still Universal Champion. Eat, sleep, sign a contract extension, repeat.
With Lesnar’s history of swerving expectations, Dave Meltzer has expressed doubts over whether Brock will drop the Universal title at SummerSlam. And now the latest Barnburner podcast with Brad Shepherd is reporting:
“Brock Lesnar last week had a meeting with Vince and the higher ups and he has told them that he wants to work with both. He wants to work with the WWE and the UFC. I don’t know how that’s going to happen, but if Brock does not lose the title at SummerSlam, you can see him working for WWE and UFC.”
I, for one, cannot wait for Roman vs Brock headlining the next 14 WrestleManias.
