Daniel Bryan Backstage WWE HEAT?! Rey Mysterio WWE RETURN SOON! | WrestleTalk News

Big Red Political Machine

When Kane isn’t tormenting Pete Rose, trying to bury his brother alive or abducting Lita to marry him he’s local insurance business owner turned Tennessee politician Glenn Jacobs – where he’s been running for office since last April.

And now, after winning the Republican nomination earlier this year, The Devil’s Favourite Demon is about to embark on his strangest gimmick yet, as he received 67% of the vote yesterday to become the Mayor of Hard Knox County.

The Mayor Kane will start his position on September 1st, where, interestingly, Kane’s former Team Hell No tag partner might also have a change of career that same day…

Daniel Bryan Backstage WWE Heat?

…as Daniel Bryan’s WWE contract reportedly expires on September 1st and according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, he still hasn’t resigned with the company.

Bryan was forced to retire from wrestling in 2016 due to multiple concussions, but through using experimental treatments to reverse those effects, multiple doctors ended up clearing him to return to the ring. But WWE were understandably hesitant to let him wrestle again.

Before WWE doctor Joseph Maroon cleared him to return just before WrestleMania this year, Bryan openly spoke in interviews about leaving WWE to wrestle for other promotions like CMLL, New Japan and Ring of Honor. Because Daniel Bryan gives zero Terry Funks.

While it’s expected Bryan will resign with WWE, Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio “there’s a lot of weird stuff going on” about his contract situation – and that Miz’s recent worked shoot comments on SmackDown, where he told Bryan to “Just let your contract expire and go and entertain dozens of people in high school gyms” made it clear WWE officials are unhappy about Daniel still not having resigned.

The Observer is also reporting that Bryan requested he be removed from some of his weekend live event dates to lighten his schedule, which WWE have agreed to – likely as a way to encourage him to resign.

But while it’s possible Bryan could leave WWE on September 1st…

Rey Mysterio WWE Return Soon

…a few days later might see the return of Rey Mysterio to the promotion.

That sounds familiar…

Rey’s been in talks for a full-time WWE return since his inferior Royal Rumble cameo became one of the promotion’s most watched clips on YouTube earlier this year and Mysterio himself has said in interviews how he wants to finish his career in the company.

But there was one pre-agreed independent wrestling date he wanted to do first: it’s that date again, with September 1st’s All In.

Despite WWE reportedly trying to get him to return sooner “to keep him off All In in particular” the Observer writes Mysterio will feature on the Cody and Young Bucks-run show as one of his last dates before signing with WWE.
