Sami Zayn Out Injured Until 2019
Following PWInsider’s report that Sami Zayn has been working through injury over the last few months, it appears his quick loss to Bobby Lashley at Sunday’s Money in the Bank was indeed a way to write him off TV.
In an interview on WWE.com, Zayn reveals his injuries are worse than previously feared, with him having to get surgery on both shoulders:
“The left one and the right one are both torn. I just underwent surgery on the right one, and then in about six or seven weeks, I’ll be undergoing surgery on the left one, and hopefully I can come back healthy and happy.”
It appears it’ll be a lengthy road to recovery, with Zayn saying he should be ready in time for a WrestleMania return.
