WWE DEFEND Becky Lynch HEEL TURN! NEVILLE Teased For ALL IN?! | WrestleTalk News

Evolution Spoiler Alert

On October 28th, WWE will stage its first ever HISTORIC all-women’s pay-per-view, full of trailblazers and people blazing trails.

Already scheduled for the show is a match between Alexa Bliss and Trish Stratus, the finals of this year’s Mae Young Classic and championship matches for NXT, Raw and SmackDown. And now the first official poster for the show has given us more of an idea on who will feature on the show.

The poster is not only surprisingly lacking in McMahon… but also in Bella Twins – considering Nikki is rumoured to be facing Ronda Rousey at the event, and that THEY WON’T GO AWAY SINCE AWKWARDLY RETURNING AT SUMMERSLAM! BRRIIIIIIE MOOOOOODE.

Road Dogg On Becky Lynch Heel Turn

But front and centre of the poster is Becky Lynch, the most evil heel on SmackDown Live…that everyone still cheers for instead of “babyface” Charlotte Flair.

Becky’s heel turn has gone down badly with fans and critics. Twitter user Joshua Roberts suggested WWE told the wrong story, and making Becky the bad guy is a stupid idea – leading WWE producer Road Dogg to explain that ooh, you didn’t know: why would fans know which characters are their favourites.

So Becky struggles for ages, goes on a winning streak, cuts great promo after great promo and finally gets a title shot. Charlotte wins one match after a two month break and gets a title shot. It’s totally the same mountain.

And it’s not just metaphors that disagree with Road Dogg and Becky’s heel turn. Cold hard numbers do too, as WWE.com’s most recently, awkwardly worded poll “did you support Becky Lynch the entire time she was trying to win the SmackDown Women’s Title?” – an overwhelming 95% voted ‘Yes, I was rooting for her the whole way’, while only 5% sided with Charlotte Flair.

It’s like WWE don’t listen to their fans almost as much as they don’t acknowledge their most talented wrestlers’ creative frustrations.

Neville Teased For All In?

Neville hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since he reportedly walked out on an episode of Raw last October – because he was tired of the glass ceiling on 205 Live talent.

He’s kept a very low profile ever since, with WWE reportedly freezing his contract, forcing one of the most impressive wrestlers in the world to just sit at home. Which makes All In promoter Cody’s tweet rather tantalising: reposting the message:

Out of those four men, Neville is the only one still under contract with WWE, and he supposedly wants out.

Stoking speculation-a-mania even further, Cody’s fellow All In organiser Matt Jackson replied:

Cody and The Young Bucks are experts at working social media to promote themselves – and, in this case, likely their massive All In show just over a week away – so this could’ve been a pre-planned public exchange to generate buzz for the event. Or Neville is secretly in talks, and has found a way to appear at the show! We’ve got a luchador mask handy if you need it.
