An AEW name has taken to Twitter to confirm he was on board a recent flight from Charlotte, NC to Gainesville, Florida which terrifyingly dropped thousands of feet in seconds.
AEW backstage interviewer Alex Marvez retweeted a news piece covering the incident from Charlotte’s WBTV, announcing that he was unfortunately on board for the alarming mid-air incident.
AEW was most recently visiting Greensboro, NC for the Saturday August 12 edition of Collision, with Marvez saying that he was wrapping up an 11 day work trip for both AEW and SiriusXM radio when he caught on the flight.
Marvez tweeted:
Not the way I wanted to end an 11-day @SiriusXMNFL & @AEW road trip but it will take more than this to keep me from #ALLIN
WBTV interviewed another passenger on board the flight who revealed that oxygen masks dropped down to passengers and the flight took a sharp descent of 15,000 feet in just three minutes.
Thankfully the flight crew managed to land the plane safely with no injuries to any of the 50 passengers and three crew members on board.
