With WWE Hall of Famer Edge’s contract with the company reportedly set to expire today (September 30), there have been a lot of rumours and speculation about his future in wrestling.
There have been a lot of speculation and rumours that Edge could be headed to AEW, possibly as soon as tomorrow night’s AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view event.
In an interview with MuscleManMalcolm, AEW star Swerve Strickland was asked about Edge potentially joining the company, with him saying he would ‘absolutely’ want to see him in the company, and to face off against him.
He said:
“Absolutely. Without a doubt (I’d like to see Edge in AEW and face him one day). I already tagged with his partner, his ex-partner I should say, Christian.
“And one of the biggest moments in that match for me, a lot of people don’t mention it in that match, but one of the biggest moments was us doing the double spear. So that goes to show how much that man means to me and my career.”
Edge’s former tag team partner Christian Cage is set to defend the TNT Championship against Darby Allin in the main event of tomorrow night’s WrestleDream pay-per-view.
Swerve himself is set to take on Hangman Adam Page on the show.
