Former WWE star and multi-time women’s champion Mickie James’s new major role has been revealed as OVW’s Creative Director.
At IMPACT Bound For Glory, Trinity defeated Mickie James to retain the IMPACT Knockouts World Championship. Since then, James hasn’t appeared in the promotion.
This led some fans to speculate that Mickie may be heading back to WWE due to her husband Nick Aldis becoming the SmackDown General Manager in October 2023.
However, it seems that James will be taking on a major role for another promotion.
Per Fightful Select, Mickie James has joined Ohio Valley Wrestling as Creative Director and Head of Female Talent.
The report also notes that Mickie will be Executive Producer for all OVW shows moving forward.
OVW was featured on Netflix’s “Wrestlers” series. Former WWE star Al Snow is a minority owner for the promotion based out of Louisville, Kentucky.
WrestleTalk will provide further updates on Mickie James in OVW when they become available.
