Roman Reigns’ challenger for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship has sent a message ahead of tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown (January 19).
In what is perhaps Roman Reigns’ most difficult defence thus far (on paper at least) the Tribal Chief will defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble in a four-way match against LA Knight, Randy Orton and AJ Styles.
All three men are intent on exacting some revenge on the Head of the Table on January 27, but before we get to the Rumble; as is tradition in WWE a contract must be signed for the match itself.
Given the fact that WWE contract signings almost always end in disaster, Styles has taken the opportunity to send a message while he can to his three opponents before the contract gets signed.
Posting to Twitter, Styles said:
Signing on the dotted line. See you tomorrow night, boys. #SmackDown
Since returning to TV last month Styles has adopted a much more serious and focused persona, bordering the line between babyface and heel.
It also seems this new beginning for the former two-time WWE Champion may not include The O.C. faction, with Styles teasing a break-up in recent weeks.
