Several WWE stars have reacted to Carmelo Hayes turning on Trick Williams at the NXT Vengeance Day 2024 premium live event.
Trick Williams was in action twice on the February 4 show. He first teamed with Carmelo Hayes in a losing effort against Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament finals.
He also headlined the show, unsuccessfully challenging for Ilja Dragunov’s NXT Championship.
Williams’ night got worse after these losses, with Carmelo Hayes attacking Williams before the show went off the air.
SmackDown star Grayson Waller has taken to Twitter to praise Carmelo following his heel turn, writing:
Finally Melo! Good Lad 🤣
NXT’s Dijak didn’t seem too surprised by the closing moments of Vengeance Day, with Dijak posting:
Oh look Dijak was right about Melo. *pretends to be shocked*
Lexis King, who previously suggested that Hayes was the mystery assailant who attacked Trick Williams back in October, tweeted:
I was right after all 👑 #VengeanceDay
Carmelo Hayes has made several appearances on SmackDown recently, and was in action in the 2024 Royal Rumble match. Trick Williams notably appeared on the January 26 edition of SmackDown.
Finally Melo! Good Lad 🤣
