Here’s what happened with Cody Rhodes, and Jey and Jimmy Uso after Friday’s WWE SmackDown went off the air, ahead of WrestleMania 40.
While the two brothers have been at odds since Jimmy stopped Jey Uso from defeating Roman Reigns at SummerSlam 2023, their rivalry was reignited on the February 19 edition of Raw, when Jimmy cost Jey his Intercontinental Title bout against Gunther.
Something similar happened after the cameras stopped rolling at the March 22 SmackDown taping, with Jey Uso and Gunther facing off in a dark match.
Gunther was ultimately victorious after Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa distracted Jey Uso long enough for the Ring General to get the win.
Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa attacked Jey Uso after the bout, before Cody Rhodes ran down to make the save.
While Solo Sikoa fled, Jimmy Uso attempted to get in Jey and Cody’s good books, before the duo took him out with a Superkick/Cross Rhodes combo. Rhodes then took to the mic to address the Milwaukee, Wisconsin crowd.
You can watch a clip of the post-show confrontation below.
Jimmy and Jey will face off in singles action at WrestleMania 40. Cody Rhodes is set to challenge for Roman Reigns’ WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at the same event, as well as teaming with Seth Rollins to battle Reigns and The Rock.
