John Cena is set to return to SmackDown once again on the September 15 episode of the show.
Cena missed last night’s episode of the show due to being in India for the WWE Superstar Spectacle show, where he and Seth Rollins defeated Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci of Imperium.
On last night’s show, WWE announced that Cena would be returning to the show on the Grayson Waller Effect.
Cena’s appearance on Waller’s show comes after the two’s interaction at Money In The Bank in London.
Since his WWE call up in the 2023 Draft, Waller has shared the ring with many of WWE’s top stars, including Logan Paul, Edge, Cody Rhodes and John Cena himself.
Taking to Twitter after the show, Waller reacted to Cena appearing on his show, telling Cena that he’s welcome for the rub on next week’s show.
Waller and Austin Theory have formed an alliance on SmackDown in recent weeks, leading to speculation that they could team up to face Cena and LA Knight at WWE Fastlane.
