MJF Says He’s ‘Super Proud’ Of AEW Star After Recent Achievement AEW

Just under a week away from defending his AEW World Championship against his ‘best friend’ Adam Cole at All In at London’s Wembley Stadium on August 27, MJF had a special message for his opponent who received a special award recently.

On August 19, Cole was recognised for his health struggles that saw his in-ring career threatened between June 2022 and March 2023, receiving the Human Highlight Award Person of the Year at Kulture City’s Kulture Ball event in Birmingham, Alabama.

Cole later reflected on the achievement with a post on Twitter, saying:

So honored & humbled  I am so thankful to have a bunch of amazing and wonderful people around me.

The world is a better place when we are there for each other. @kulturec #KultureCity

Cole was also publicly congratulated by his girlfriend, AEW star Britt Baker, who attended the award ceremony with him on the night.

But it was not just Baker who got in on the messages as MJF would also jump at the chance to congratulate his best friend, replying to Cole’s post saying:

Super proud of you brochacho!

When a fan asked why Max wasn’t in attendance for the ceremony, MJF made reference to a humorous moment from last week’s Dynamite (August 16), replying:

I wish, I still had the runs from Nashville spicy Chicken!

Cole would then thank MJF for the kind words, despite the apparent tease of a turn from Cole on Dynamite last week.
