New AEW Interim World Champion Jon Moxley unsurprisingly has a bit of a target on his back since winning the belt at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Stars from both AEW and NJPW will be clamouring for a shot at Mox, with one particular NJPW star making his desires very public.
El Desperado, who lost to Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee in a tag match, has publicly called out Moxley for a match in a heated promo.
He said:
“Since then (forbidden door), I’ve had “Wild Thing” stuck in my head. Moxley! He’s enticing. He’s made his mark in the NJPW and AEW rings.
“He bleeds. He makes his opponents bleed. Boy, that looks like fun. I want a piece, I’m not sure where, but I’ll go anywhere if you’re game.
“America? I really don’t want to fly anymore, but if you call me out, I’ll come. Okay? I want to have some fun, too. I await your reply.”

Moxley is yet to respond to this challenge, and El Desperado will likely have to wait his turn, as Brody King won the right to be Moxley’s opponent on last week’s AEW Rampage, by winning the Royal Rampage match.
