Last month, WWE released a whole host of main roster stars like Samoa Joe, Peyton Royce and Mickie James. This was followed by several NXT releases this week, including Alexander Wolfe, Velveteen Dream and Drake Wuertz.
It seems like WWE is not done there, as Andrew Zarian has revealed that some talent from NXT UK may be on the chopping block relatively soon.
Speaking on the Mat Men Podcast, Zarian revealed that he had heard that some NXT UK talent “maybe” released by WWE soon.
“I heard [there’s] maybe some more to come. Some NXT UK talent”.
Zarian, who was the first to report that NXT would be moving to Tuesday nights, didn’t reveal which NXT UK wrestlers are going to be fired and when WWE is planning on releasing them, so stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for more on that story.
It was reported this week that the people released by WWE over the last month or so were told they were being let go due to “budgetary reasons”.
