Title Matches Set For Next Week’s NXT

Two title matches for next week’s episode of WWE NXT on the USA Network were announced during tonight’s September 8 edition of the show.

The first will be a rematch as Breezango defend the NXT Tag Team Championship against the duo they beat to win the title, Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel of Imperium.

Fandango and Tyler Breeze won the title back on August 26 just a couple of weeks ago. The Imperium members had reigned since they beat Matt Riddle & Timothy Thatcher (in place of Pete Dunne) on May 13.

The second title match for next week will see Damian Priest defend the North American Title against Timothy Thatcher.

Priest won the vacant title in a five-way ladder match at TakeOver XXX on August 22 and hasn’t defended since.

NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai will also be in action next week as she faces Shotzi Blackheart in a non-title match. NXT is back to Wednesday next week, so it’ll air on September 16. Tonight and last week have aired on Tuesday.
