5. AJ Styles – $3.5 million
It’s no surprise that the current WWE Champion is among the highest earners in the company and the ‘Phenomenal One’ ranks in at number five.
Styles made his WWE debut at Royal Rumble 2016 after making his name as one of, if not the, best in-ring performers in the world at TNA (Impact Wrestling) and NJPW among other promotions.
There were always questions over whether Styles would be treated like the star he is, or whether Vince McMahon would treat him like a mid-card act due to his size, and also maybe a dig at TNA.
Our fears have since been vanquished however, and later in his debut year, Styles defeated Dean Ambrose at Backlash 2016 to win his first of two WWE Championships.
He also had two WWE United States Championship reigns during the summer of 2017, and in November last year defeated Jinder Mahal for his second WWE Championship, a belt that he has held since.
Styles’ £3.5 million salary really does show how highly Vince McMahon and the higher-ups in WWE hold the ‘Champ That Runs the Camp’.
