WWE SmackDown star Nia Jax has heaped praise on fellow star and Damage CTRL member Asuka for working “every week in pain.”
On the May 6 edition of WWE Raw, the company announced that Damage CTRL’s Asuka had been pulled from the Queen of the Ring tournament.
In her place, fellow Damage CTRL member Dakota Kai replaced her in the Queen of the Ring. However, Kai came up short in the first round against Lyra Valkyria on Monday’s Raw.
On May 7, WWE SmackDown’s Nia Jax took to social media to address Asuka’s injury and her working through being hurt for a few weeks. She wrote:
Also, has been working live events and TV every single week in pain. Traveling the world with brutal flights and bus rides, and gave 1000 percent every night for the fans! @WWEAsuka is the best!!!
Asuka last wrestled alongside Kairi Sane of the Kabuki Warriors in a loss to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WWE Backlash 2024.
It remains to be seen how much time Asuka may miss with her injury at the time of this writing.
