Well, Money in the Bank made Raw a lot more interesting didn’t it?
Alexa Bliss the new Women’s Champion and Braun Strowman the new Mr Money in the Bank. Who would have predicted that?
So what’s next for the former mixed match challenge team? Will they form some kind of super group and take over Raw?
No, they won’t. But it was a nice idea for those two seconds.
Anyway, onto tonight and we shall start with Alexa. You would assume that she’ll have to go through some kind of Nia feud again because she defeated Jax last night, granting her a rematch.
After that however, it could be something far more rowdy for the five feet of fury.
Ronda is now (probably) without a feud, but seeing as it was Alexa costing both her and Nia the title, I fully expect Alexa’s arm to have a very large Ronda Rousey shaped crosshairs on it.
Although I would have preferred to have seen someone else take the belt, Alexa is the perfect heel for Ronda to chase. She’s manipulating, cowardly and scheming, just like me.
And then there’s the new monster in the bank holder. Braun Strowman was the last person I thought would win the briefcase, but I can sort of see where they’re going with it.
It gives Brock a reason to return, especially if Braun demands a match at a certain time, as surely Brock would have to accept?
Braun needs to be the Universal Champion as soon as possible. No-one is invested in Brock anymore, and a feud with a champion Braun could escalate so many of the deserving talents on the Raw roster.
But are we just going to be seeing endless segments of Braun demanding Lesnar to return with no reply? I sure as hell hope not.
What I think will probably happen is that Paul Heyman will appear in Brock’s place and accept a match at SummerSlam. Not ideal but I think it’s probably the way that Vince wants to do it.
Other than that, there’s not all that much to discuss for tonight’s show. Hopefully we’ll see some new feuds start and Bobby Lashley will have moved on from his latest storyline.
The Rest
- Roman Reigns will start a new feud with someone, and WWE will try once again to make us care. I’m guessing Bobby Lashley or Bobby Roode.
- Will Elias get his rematch against Seth Rollins after the latter cheated to win at Money in the Bank?
- Will we find out why the B-Team vs Bray and Matt wasn’t at Money in the Bank?
- Which two random female wrestlers will have a three minute match?
