The ‘Biggest Party of the Summer’ is just around the corner and two of WWE’s biggest names are nowhere to be seen. There is now growing doubt that we will see either The Undertaker or John Cena at SummerSlam.
After the ‘Phenom’ defeated Cena in less than three minutes in their WrestleMania 34 match, there was speculation it would lead to a much more competitive rematch. However, we are now less than three weeks away from SummerSlam and neither man has been seen on WWE television since the Greatest Royal Rumble in the beautiful city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Cageside Seats is now reporting that there is “growing doubt” the sequel will occur. WWE wouldn’t put on this match without some build and time is quickly running out. Also, factor in Cena’s busy schedule after going Hollywood, the Undertaker’s physical condition, and it’s unlikely we’ll be seeing them on August 19.
It is much more likely that this match will be held off on until WrestleMania 35. If plans were to change though, it would need to happen very soon.
WrestleTalk would love to hear from you regarding the Undertaker vs. John Cena at SummerSlam. Is a 20 minute rematch something you’d like to see? Should both men have stepped away before now? Or doe they have still have life left them in? You can contact us on Twitter and Discord today.
