One of the biggest criticisms of NXT over the last number of weeks has been their continued use of Full Sail University. The atmosphere in the building with the use of Performance Center talent as a crowd is far different to that of the Thunderdome. It appears WWE knows this as they are reportedly considering holding the next NXT Takeover event in the Thunderdome.
Dave Meltzer reported this in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. According to Meltzer, there is currently talk of moving Takeover to the Amway Center. However, he also notes that they could also stay at Full Sail University. Not much time remains before the show so a decision will have to be made soon.
There is just over two weeks until the show as it is scheduled for October 4. No matches have been announced for the event as of yet as challengers for the NXT and NXT Women’s Championships will be decided next week.
At a mere six weeks since NXT Takeover: XXX, this is set to be the shortest amount of time between two Takeover events ever. The upcoming event has yet to be given a title.
