AEW is set to be without four notable names for next week’s (December 28) episode of AEW Dynamite.
Next week’s show will be the annual New Year’s Smash special episode of the show, and serve as the last Dynamite episode of 2022.
However, four notable AEW stars will not be present for the show, those being Sammy Guevara, Tay Conti and Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler of FTR.
All four of them currently hold championships in AAA, with Sammy and Tay being the Mixed Tag Team Champions, while FTR are the AAA Tag Team Champions.
All four are set to be in action on the AAA Gira Aniversario XXX Noche De Campeones show in Acapulco that night.
Tay and Sammy will defend their AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship against Lady Shani & Octagon Jr. vs. Komander & Sexy Star.
Meanwhile FTR will defend the AAA Tag Team Championship against La Faccion Ingobernable’s Dragon Lee & Dralistico.
FTR will also miss the following week’s show, as well as Kenny Omega, due to being in Japan for NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 17.
