WWE Hall of Famer Edge wrestled the last match on his WWE contract on SmackDown last month, when he defeated Sheamus in Toronto.
Following the match, Edge revealed that his contract with the company expired in September, with him reportedly set to become a free agent later this week.
It was recently reported that Edge had been moved to the miscellaneous section of the WWE roster, and there has now been an update on his listing.
Per PWInsider, Edge has now been removed from WWE’s miscellaneous portion of the company’s internal roster.
Edge is currently still listed on WWE.com’s roster, but he is internally no longer listed with the company.
There has been talk that Edge will be free to sign wherever he wants to on October 1, the same day as AEW’s WrestleDream pay-per-view event.
There had been rumours and speculation that those within the company believed Edge to be ‘AEW-bound’ after he and WWE didn’t come to agreement on a contract extension.
We will provide any updates on Edge’s status as and when they become available.
