UPDATE: Adam Copeland’s (Edge’s) first AEW opponent and the date the match will take place have been announced – find out here.
WWE Hall of Famer Edge, real name Adam Copeland, debuted for AEW tonight at the WrestleDream pay-per-view event.
That means the questions have been answered as to what name he’ll be using, as well as what entrance music he’ll be coming out to.
In AEW, the former Edge will be going by his real name, Adam Copeland.
His official “All Elite” graphic called him “Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland, so he’s keeping that nickname.
When he made his entrance, Copeland did use his classic Metalingus entrance music by Alter Bridge so he’s keeping that, although there was a new version of the “You think you know me?” line at the start that said “You think you know him”.
Copeland debuted by saving Darby Allin and Sting from a three-on-two attack by Christian Cage, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne at the end of the show after Wayne had helped Cage beat Allin.
His WWE contract only expired a day ago.
