Details on the AEW in-ring debut for Adam Copeland (formerly Edge) after he appeared at WrestleDream have been announced.
Copeland debuted by saving Darby Allin and Sting from a three-on-two attack by Christian Cage, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne at the end of the show after Wayne had helped Cage beat Allin.
In the post-show media scrum, Tony Khan announced Copeland’s first AEW opponent and what date the match will take place.
Khan stated that Copeland will appear on Dynamite this coming Wednesday (October 4), Collision this Saturday (October 7), and will have his debut match on the ‘Title Tuesday’ edition of Dynamite (October 12).
That match will be against one of the three men he confronted at WrestleDream – Luchasaurus.
Khan mentioned that Copeland is full-time in AEW and will be wrestling regularly.
His WWE contract only expired a day ago.
