An update has emerged on potential AEW plans for a new faction, with a current free agent possibly set to join forces with a former AEW champion.
In recent weeks, there has been a lot of speculation about the future of former Goddess of Stardom Champion Mariah May, with rumors swirling about May potentially joining AEW or WWE following her STARDOM departure.
Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, May is ‘expected’ in AEW.
Meltzer also indicated that May could possibly form a new faction with Toni Storm, noting:
“There was a lot of talk she would be going to Seattle but she actually flew back home to the UK. She is expected in AEW, possibly being part of a group with Toni Storm.”
Storm was previously part of the Outcasts stable alongside Saraya and Ruby Soho.
She is currently wrestling under a new ‘timeless’ character, most recently defeating Skye Blue on Wednesday’s (October 4) edition of Dynamite.
Mariah May was in action at last weekend’s STARDOM 5STAR Grand Prix Finals event, losing to Hanan.
Following the bout, May confirmed that this was her final match with STARDOM.
