A new champion has been crowned on the October 10 Title Tuesday edition of AEW Dynamite which went head-to-head with WWE NXT.
As previously reported, a huge change was made to a title bout on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
Jon Moxley was originally scheduled to challenge Rey Fenix for the AEW International Championship, but he wasn’t medically cleared and was replaced by former champion Orange Cassidy.
The two competitors had a back and forth match before Fenix’s compounding injuries got the better of him.
Cassidy would hit the Orange Punch into the Mouse Trap to pin Fenix and win the AEW International Championship for the second time.
Post match, Penta El Zero Miedo came down to check on his brother, while Best Friends, Rocky Romero and HOOK came down to celebrate with Orange Cassidy.
It remains to be seen when Jon Moxley will receive his shot at the AEW International Championship.
Also on the show, Bryan Danielson defeated Swerve Strickland to become the number one contender to face Christian Cage for the TNT Championship on the October 14 edition of AEW Collision.
