An AEW star has teased a babyface turn on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite (November 8) after several weeks of storyline.
In the opening to AEW Dynamite, MJF and Daniel Garcia came face to face backstage ahead of their AEW World Championship match set for the show.
MJF, the defending champion, was questioning whether Garcia would be a professional wrestler or sports entertainer tonight, as Garcia responding with a resounding: professional wrestler.
The pair had a competitive match, which in the end, would see MJF retain his AEW World Championship by submission.
After the match, MJF extended his hand to Daniel Garcia to shake as the crowd chanted, ‘Sportsmanship!’
However, as Garcia went to accept the handshake, perhaps signifying a babyface turn, ‘Cool Hand’ Angelo Parker and ‘Daddy Magic’ Matt Menard stopped him, not once but twice, despite MJF encouraging him to be his own man.
Daniel Garcia did leave the ringside with his fellow former Jericho Appreciation Society members.
However, this isn’t the first time there has been a disagreement between Garcia and the other two in recent weeks.
Later in the main event of AEW Dynamite, Mark Briscoe will take on Jay White in a match to determine who will face MJF at Full Gear as White puts his title shot on the line.
