Top AEW star and current AEW World Champion MJF says WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan is a liar and a racist in a new interview.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman has gone from the biggest detestable heel in wrestling today to one of the most beloved babyfaces in All Elite Wrestling.
Getting a fix up from Dr. Beau Hightower ahead of AEW Full Gear, MJF was asked why he thinks Hulk Hogan takes so much heat from the wrestling community. He answered:
“Because he’s a liar and a racist.”
“It doesn’t change the fact that he was a massive draw and the professional wrestling business will never be the same because of him, for the better, but there are plenty of professional wrestlers that did great business, it doesn’t mean they’re great people.”
“Chris Benoit is a great professional wrestler, it doesn’t mean he’s a good person.
“For some reason, wrestling fans kind of struggle with that.”
“They can’t separate the two, which is why I think people love me. I’m out and out a horrible person, and I’m honest about it. At least I’m honest about it.”
MJF has embraced his personality along with the AEW fans and is now known as “Our Scumbag.”
Friedman will defend the AEW World Championship against “Switchblade” Jay White this Saturday, November 18 at AEW Full Gear. For the full lineup for the event, click here.
