Kevin Owens has commented on CM Punk’s WWE return at Survivor Series in Chicago last weekend after almost 10 years away.
Punk’s return came two months after his termination from AEW following the investigation into the backstage incident at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium.
Speaking with James Williams, WWE’s Kevin Owens spoke about CM Punk’s return, saying that his return is great if he’s got a good mindset.
He simply said:
“Um, I just want to have fun at work. So if he’s got that mindset, great.”
Owens was recently moved over to the SmackDown brand in exchange for Cody Rhodes bringing Jey Uso over to Raw.
A report emerged earlier this year that Punk had pitched to return to WWE following AEW All Out last year, with him said to have pitched for a match with Kevin Owens at WrestleMania. You can read the full story here.
Shawn Michaels has commented on CM Punk’s return to the company at Survivor Series, which you can see here.
