Will Ospreay has spoken about his upcoming start in All Elite Wrestling, and why his new job is set to start ‘in hell’.
At AEW Full Gear, AEW’s newest major signing was revealed to be NJPW’s Will Ospreay, who was set to become a free agent in early 2024.
Ospreay’s deal with NJPW isn’t set to expire until February, which is when Ospreay is set to begin full-time with AEW.
Ahead of last night’s Dynamite, AEW announced that they would be returning Canada in 2024 for the month of March and a date in April.
Ospreay took to Twitter to react to the announcement, not happy that his first two months would be ‘in hell’.
He said:
Ah my first 2 months at work are in hell I see.
Ospreay’s disdain of Canada dates back to this year’s Forbidden Door event in Toronto, where he faced off against Kenny Omega in what many believe to be the match of the year for 2023.
Ospreay had shared hilarious videos of him travelling the country in the freezing cold ahead of the match, which you can see here.
Ospreay is set for a match at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18 against David Finlay and Jon Moxley, which may end up being his last as a full-time NJPW wrestler.
