A rising WWE star has pitched to form a new tag team with a wrestling legend who is reportedly a free agent.
On last night’s WWE Raw show, the Women’s Tag Team division heated up, with Katana Chance and Kayden Carter defeating Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell in tag team action.
The victory earned Kayden and Katana a shot at Chelsea Green and Piper Niven’s Women’s Tag Team Championship, which will take place on next week’s episode of Raw.
However, WWE NXT star Fallon Henley took to Twitter, where she pitched a new team with WWE legend Mickie James.
She tweeted:
@MickieJames hear me out… what if we saddled up, you taught me to be hardcore country and we went for the WWE Women’s Tag Titles. I’ll bring the drinks!
Mickie James was recently removed from the IMPACT Wrestling roster page, with her reportedly being a free agent.
Mickie’s husband Nick Aldis is the general manager of SmackDown, with an original pitch for he and Mickie to act as co-GMs.
Mickie was also namedropped on last night’s show, when CM Punk mentioned her during his promo, which Mickie has since reacted to.
Fallon was a part of the women’s Iron Survivor Challenge match at NXT Deadline last weekend.
