WWE’s Xavier Woods of the New Day is out of action with an undisclosed injury according to a recent report.
Woods was absent from the December 18 episode of WWE Raw, although Kofi Kingston did appear as Santa Claus.
Following this absence, it was reported that Woods was “banged up” and has been taken off the road.
Dave Meltzer would provide an update on Woods in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, writing:
Woods is out of action with an injury.
The nature of the injury is still unknown, though the previous report noted that Woods was in Birmingham, Alabama recently.
Birmingham is the location of the medical facility which many WWE stars have used in the past.
With WWE going back on the road after Christmas, advertised New Day appearances have been altered to show Kingston.
Woods last wrestled on the November 27 edition of Raw, teaming with Kofi Kingston in the WWE Tag Team Championship #1 contenders Tag Team Turmoil bout.
Highlights from that match can be seen below this news story.
WrestleTalk wishes Xavier Woods a safe, healthy and full recovery.
