Will Ospreay’s time as a full-time member of the NJPW roster is coming to an end as he prepares to move to AEW.
At NJPW New Year’s Dash, Ospreay issued a challenge for a multi-man match between United Empire and Bullet Club.
Speaking at the January 5 show, Ospreay said:
“Bullet Club, you bunch of soft pricks. It seems like you guys want a fight. February 11th, is my last match with NJPW.
“I will fight side-by-side with my brothers, the men that made Will Ospreay.
“My five versus your five. You can pick the rules. See you in Osaka bitch.”
It would further be revealed that the match will be a 10-man steel cage match taking place at NJPW The New Beginning.
Highlights from United Empire vs Bullet Club War Dogs at New Year Dash can be seen below this news story.
At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18 on January 4, Ospreay made his entrance to the Assassin’s Creed theme and revealed he had been sponsored by Ubisoft.
He would be unsuccessful in his attempts to win the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship in a match that also featured Jon Moxley and David Finlay.
Ospreay has previously revealed that his last Revolution Pro Wrestling match will be on February 18, 2024.
He has recently commented that his first two months in AEW will be “in hell” with the company heading to Canada.
