AEW commentator and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has commented on former colleague Kevin Dunn finishing up with WWE.
On December 30, PWInsider revealed that Kevin Dunn was finishing up his run with WWE after more than 40 years with the company. Dunn served as WWE’s Executive Producer and Chief of Global Television.
On the latest episode of the Grilling JR podcast, AEW commentator and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross commented on his former colleague finishing up with WWE. He said:
“Kevin Dunn recently retired after a phenomenal run. Nobody in pro wrestling TV has ever had the run that Kevin Dunn accomplished there at WWE.”
“He was a vital part of the growth of the company. Smart guy, a survivor for sure and yeah, he was one of Vince’s right-hand guys.”
“Vince (McMahon) used to tell Kevin Dunn and I in our little management meetings, between the three of us that, ‘I got my two key guys here. Talent and television.’”
“Pro wrestling is about talent and television. So I was handling the talent side and Kevin was handling the TV side…”
On January 9, WWE announced former ESPN executive Lee Fitting as their Head of Media and Production.
Jim Ross currently works for All Elite Wrestling as a commentator on AEW Collision and occasional appearances on Dynamite and pay-per-views.
Ross recently revealed that his AEW contract is set to expire on February 14, which you can read more about here.
