A pair of recent tag team partners went to war with one another in a singles match on tonight’s episode of WWE NXT.
While Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen were a successful tag team along with their third, Fallon Henley, in NXT, the trio have since parted ways.
However while Briggs and Henley went on to find their identities as individuals, the story has been that Jensen has found it hard to do so, and even pretty much asked Briggs if they could reunite, which Briggs disagreed with in a “tough love” situation.
This led to a backstage fight last week and a match on tonight’s show, and with Josh Briggs taunting Brooks Jensen to hit him, Jensen battled back and finally unleashed his rage on Briggs.
However in the end, it would be Josh Briggs who picked up the victory on tonight’s NXT, before saying that he actually did it “for” Jensen.
Vic Joseph on commentary said that brothers fight and reunite, but it remains to be seen whether that’ll be the case for Briggs and Jensen, or if they’ll end up going their separate ways after all.
Elsewhere in a backstage segment, Thea Hail described her Valentine’s Day date with Riley Osborne and it sounded less than thrilling.
With Hail noting several key details from the date (including yelling at him when he tried to be polite and being sure to spend a lot of time on her phone), it seemed as though it might not end up being a match after all.
After the interaction turned sour at the arrival of Ariana Grace, a match would end up coming from the scene with Jacy Jayne facing off against the pageant queen Grace – a match that Jayne ended up winning after interference of Jazmyn Nyx, which Hail clearly wasn’t happy about.
