A recent WWE NXT call-up has revealed the best advice received from Shawn Michaels and Fit Finlay while in developmental.
Former NXT Tag Team Champions Julius and Brutus Creed were called up to the WWE main roster alongside Ivy Nile back in November 2023 after spending over two years as regulars on NXT.
Speaking to TV Insider, Julius Creed was asked about the best piece of advice he received during his time on the brand.
He said:
“That’s a hard one. Fit Finlay told me once that they are going to hand you a coloring book and some crayons. If you color that picture real pretty, you’re going to be very successful at this. He said if you take a Sharpie and draw that picture nobody else can draw, that’s when you get remembered. That’s what I’m here to do. I’m not here to just do a good job. I want to be remembered. I want to do things nobody has ever done before and leave an impression.
“The other thing I was told is to be patient. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Shawn Michaels told me that, but you get done with the marathon a lot faster if you sprint it. I’m going to try to sprint the marathon.
The Creed Brothers are set to take on DIY in a WrestleMania Tag Team Ladder match qualifier on tonight’s Raw show.
Julius also discussed a recent ‘tough-love’ conversation he had with his brother Brutus, which you can see here.
