A WWE star, who himself has previously worked for AEW, has reacted to one of last night’s AEW talent releases.
On Monday, April 1, Dasha Gonzalez, Stu Grayson, Parker Boudreaux, Anthony Henry, Jose The Assistant, Slim J, Brent Tate, Brandon Tate, Gravity and Jora Johl were all let go by AEW.
Now, former AEW star and current WWE star Andrade El Idolo has reacted to the departure of Jose.
Jose first came into AEW as Andrade’s manager after Andrade had already gone through having Vickie Guerrero and Chavo Guerrero in his corner.
Jose and Andrade ended up separating and Jose instead became more closely associated with Rush and the rest of La Faccion Ingobernable.
Still, Andrade has tweeted his well-wishes to Jose today, writing:
“When you were my loyal friend!!! @JoseAssistant but you will always have a friend 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
“We had a great time! you were the one who saw my backstage”
Andrade also attached an image of what is presumably his original vision for a faction when he joined AEW – himself, Rush, Jose, and former WWE NXT talent Tino Sabbatelli.
Sabbatelli has alluded in past interviews to Andrade wanting to bring him in but Tony Khan not being on board.
When you were my loyal friend!!! @JoseAssistant but you will always have a friend 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
