CM Punk cost a WWE star a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship on tonight’s Raw after WrestleMania 40.
On tonight’s Raw there was a four-way match to determine who would be the number one contender for Damian Priest’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Big Bronson Reed, Jey Uso, Ricochet and Drew McIntyre went to war in the Raw after WrestleMania main event in order to determine who would get the first shot at Priest.
In the final third of the match, Ricochet took out Big Bronson Reed by hitting a 450 Splash from the ring onto the commentary table, removing them both from the match.
This would lead to Jey Uso and Drew McIntyre squaring off back in the ring with McIntyre hitting a Future Shock DDT before priming for the Claymore.
However, while he was doing his taunt in the corner, his foot was grabbed by a sneaky rascal who had appeared from out of nowhere – CM Punk.
With the interference allowing Jey Uso enough time to hit a Superkick on McIntyre, he would pick up the pinfall victory as Punk stood on the commentary desk that remained standing to celebrate.
