CM Punk got involved in the WWE Raw main event on April 8, 2024, and has been thanked by Jey Uso for his actions.
As can be seen from the footage below this news story, it was Punk’s involvement that would see Jey Uso become the number one contender for Damian Priest’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
The match saw Uso overcome Bronson Reed, Ricochet and Drew McIntyre thanks to Punk’s ongoing feud with the former World Heavyweight Champion McIntyre.
With Uso now set to face Priest for the new champion’s first defence, the number one contender shared his thoughts in footage that can be seen below:
“Man, we wrapping up WrestleMania week with a Big W.
“I’m on fire. I’m happy. Look. I’m ecstatic. You know what I’m saying, proud. Hard work is paying off.”
After discussing the spelling of YEET and Uso suggesting the “Uso & Jackie-O” show with Jackie Redmond, the WWE Raw backstage interviewer would ask about the appearance of CM Punk, with Uso revealing how it happened, saying:
“You know why? It’s cuz we bought ice cream together, Uce. That’s why. We was watching hockey together, Uce.
“He like, hold up, man, my Boy Jey out there, ain’t he got a lower hand? Drew McIntyre, stay trippin’, I’m gonna tie his shoes for him.
“What’d he do? CM Punk gave me the assist, passed it off to me, grabbed it, slam dunk, boomed on Drew, boomed on him, Uce.”

Uso would end the interview by discussing his ribs and focus on Priest, saying:
“Yeet. The ribs are probably… on a scale of 1 to 10… I’m kinda like an 8.5 right now. You know what I’m saying?
“But, hey, man, shout out to that boy, Damian Priest, man, Judgment Day.
“My eyes have been on you, Uce. I know I’ma going to have to bring my A-Game to you, I know you about that game, Uce.
“I ain’t gonna take you lightly. But, guess what? Jey Uso is now in your city and now after your title.”

He would finish with an enthusiastic “U… so” before admitting that his ribs hurt.
