Mercedes Mone has reacted to Tony Khan appearing at the NFL Draft sporting a neck brace, following his attack by The Elite on AEW Dynamite.
Yesterday (April 25) Khan swapped out his AEW President hat for his one as Chief Football Strategy Officer for the Jacksonville Jaguars, sitting alongside his father and Owner of the NFL team Shad Khan for this year’s 2024 NFL Draft.
The question on every wrestling fans minds heading into the NFL Draft was whether Khan would be selling his ‘injury’ sustained at the hands of The Young Bucks and Jack Perry on this week’s AEW Dynamite (April 24) – where Khan took a shot to the ribs and then a Tony Khan Driver.
And the answer was a resounding yes, as Khan sported a neck brace – wholly embracing the lost art of kayfabe.
Despite his injuries being in storyline, Khan received some well-wishes from one of his top stars in AEW – the recently signed former WWE star Mercedes Mone.
Taking to Twitter in response to the footage of Khan at the draft, Mone wrote:
Wishing you a speedy recovery @TonyKhan #AEWDynamite
Mone was not the only one to react to Khan’s ‘injury’ with a popular WWE star also doing the same – click here for full details.
