9. No Follow Up To Shaquille O’Neal

There were few who would have guessed that NBA legend, constant meme generator and all around swell fellow Shaquille O’Neal would pull off as good a performance as he did when he teamed with Jade Cargill on Dynamite.

Celebrity matches are hit and miss with a lot more miss but this was stellar. Shaq wouldn’t be the worst giant in WWE by any stretch with performances like this. Which makes it all the more disappointing that we never got any follow up to his appearance. They set up a cliffhanger and everything! Because Cody Rhodes put Shaq through two tables he needed to be taken away in an ambulance but when they checked the ambulance Shaq had vanished! Shock! The wounded Shaq limped off into the night and he has yet to return to an AEW ring.

I suppose in AEW canon Shaq is still out there somewhere, just a weird way to write off a character. Shaq did say he was returning to AEW that Summer but that never happened. Even if it wasn’t another match, I have to know where Shaq went, its a loose thread that I need to see tied up!
