WWE Raw vs. SmackDown #6 – May 28 & 29

Fun

In this section, we’re going to compare the most enjoyable things that happened on WWE TV this week. This could be in the form of comedy, it could be in the form of excellent promos, or it could just be anything that put a smile on our faces.

Remember, you can tweet your “Fun” moments from Raw and SmackDown Live to @LiamTheShebang on Twitter, and your tweet could be included in this segment in future weeks.

Raw

Michael Cole is a nine year old

During the opening match, Michael Cole’s voice went quite high-pitched for a split-second. Fair enough. Being the hero that he is though, Kevin Owens didn’t let this slide, and responded with “Have you hit puberty?”. Superb.

Braun Strowman – The ‘Monster Among Memes’

This week’s ‘Reader Entry’ comes from WrestleTalk‘s own Kevin Cavanagh, who found amusement in Braun Strowman chucking a ladder halfway across the arena. I also thought this was pretty funny, but found Owens’ scampering response even more comical.

Elias tells the WWE production team how to do their jobs

Elias wasn’t happy with the “disgusting” Virginia crowd, so ordered the lighting technician to reduce the brightness. He then told the audio technician to turn his microphone volume up and turn the guitar’s down. It doesn’t sound that funny when I put it like that, but trust me, it was.

Nia Jax channels her inner Kevin Owens

The crowd was chanting “Ronda Rousey”, and Nia Jax responded by saying “She knows her own name, you can shut up now”. A great piece of improvisation from the ‘Irresistible Force’.

The B-Team is still the best thing in WWE today

I’ll say what I said last week: JUST LOOK AT THEM.

SmackDown Live

Rusev is the best, Rusev number one

Despite it being a colossal waste of time and talent, I did find the ‘dance-off’ somewhat entertaining. Mainly due to the fact that Rusev live-streamed the entire thing on Instagram

I’m sorry.

The Miz has pancakes thrown at him

The Miz and the Bar figured the best way to prepare for their match against New Day, was to practice dodging pancakes.

How they didn’t collapse into laughter baffles me.

The Verdict

Raw wins because of the B-Team and Kevin Owens.
