Another Iconic WrestleMania Surpassed By AEW All In At London Wembley Stadium AEW

AEW All In takes place at Wembley Stadium, London, England on August 27 and has smashed an iconic WWE ticket sale record.

With three matches announced so far – Adam Cole vs MJF for the AEW World Championship and FTR vs Young Bucks III, and Samoa Joe vs CM Punk for the ‘Real World Championship’, the show is a mere 20 days away.

In the Wrestling Observer Daily Update, Dave Meltzer revealed that:

“All In’s ticket advance yesterday surpassed the final number of the famous Hogan vs. Andre WrestleMania III attendance at the Pontiac Silverdome.

“It is now fourth place on the all-time list of paid shows, six if you include the two shows in North Korea.”

On August 5, WrestleTix reported that 78,189 tickets had been distributed, noting that this was up by 431 since the last update of two days previous.

It would also be noted that there had been:

“Strong movement in the past few days since the MJF/Cole match announcement.”

Whilst the attendance for WrestleMania III had been announced by WWE as 93,173, Meltzer has historically reported the real figure was around the 78,000 mark.

NJPW and WCW ran a two-night show called Collision in Korea in 1995 which saw a disputed total attendance of 355,000, with Meltzer reporting around 315,000 across both days. Of course, most of the attendance for those shows was government-mandated rather than based on ticket sales.
