AEW Star’s New Character Plans Confirmed AEW

AEW star Jack Perry has filed for an interesting trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), following his recent return.

Perry recently made his first onscreen appearance following his incident with CM Punk in August 2023, attacking Shota Umino at the January 13 NJPW Battle in the Valley event.

The former FTW Champion notably tore up his AEW contract at the NJPW show, while sporting an armband that read ‘SCAPEGOAT’

Perry has now filed to trademark the term ‘SCAPEGOAT‘ in the categories of ‘entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests’, per an application filed with the USPTO on January 24.

The following description accompanied the filing:

Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer;

Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network;

Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes

Jack Perry hasn’t wrestled since dropping the FTW Championship to Hook at All In London.

This show also featured CM Punk’s final AEW match, with Punk wrestling Samoa Joe, before getting released from the company and returning to WWE in November 2023.

AEW World Champion Samoa Joe recently commented on the incident between CM Punk and Jack Perry at AEW All In London 2023, which you can read more about right here.
